Your success begins when you learn this simple fact of life: YES
YOU CAN ... WHEN YOU KNOW HOW! The reason people do not succeed is not because they
cannot succeed but because they do not know how to succeed. The
simple answer: Learn HOW to succeed. So,
how do you learn HOW to succeed? That is the same question I asked when I was a $45-a-month office boy 60 years ago. But in those early days nobody had made a complete study of how to succeed. Of
course, a few people knew some methods. John D. Rockefeller knew at least
one way to succeed. He started with wages of $6.00 a week. He invested
half of his wages and as his capital increased he always reinvested his
increased capital. And here's his secret, he also reinvested all of
his interest and dividends. He became the richest man of his time just
by always compounding his capital and earnings. Well,
that was one proven success method, so I wrote it down. It works just as
well today. Most millionaires use it and anybody can. It just requires the
self-discipline to save and safely invest half of your wages and all of
your increased capital, dividends and interest. Then compound interest
will make you rich. I
studied Thomas Edison's famous success method. Edison failed his way to
success. Now that is something all of us can do. Fail. A lot of times. But
Edison made a success method out of failing. He failed forward! And he
used that old Japanese philosophy: "When you fall, don't get up empty
handed!" After
a long series of failures, Edison cheerfully remarked, "Now we know
1,000 things which won't work, so we are that much closer to what will

I started out as a $45-a-month office boy I was determined to learn proven

In the discussion, I stated (as I did above) that U. S. industry in the
near future only could employ 16% of the available work force. I was
immediately challenged by a leading economist who insisted that the U. 5.
industry only could employ 10 % of the available work force. He was
followed by another leading economist who insisted that the U.S industry
only could employ 5 % of the available work force. Do
you know what effect that will have on your future employment? With
only 3% of the work force employed in farming and only 16% (my highest
estimate) employed in industry, 81% will have to find jobs in the
professions or in people-services-or be unemployed, replaced by a
computer. What
should you do to avoid being replaced by a computer, a robot or a foreign
